A local Georgian lawyer verifies the title before you sign, with the purchase itself registered through Georgia's National Agency of Public Registry (NAPR) at a Public Service Hall; official fees run to GEL 150 for four-business-day processing, GEL 270 for one business day or GEL 350 for same-day, and the sale contract fixes who pays. Should you later rent out either the white frame or the fully renovated unit, Georgia's tax code applies a 5% rate to gross rental income earned by an individual under article 81 paragraph 2, with no deductions, and exempts a sale from the 5% capital gains rate under article 82 paragraph 1(f.a) once you have owned the unit for more than two years.
